Can a one-person company be a director, shareholder and company secretary at the same time?
Can't. Section 475(2) of the Companies Ordinance (Chapter 622) expressly prohibits a sole director from concurrently serving as company secretary. In addition, section 475(3) of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) stipulates that the company secretary of a private company with only one director cannot be a body corporate of which the director is also the sole director.
Is it necessary to have a Chinese and English company name when registering a company?
